About
Overview
Born in Kingston, raised in Wyoming Borough and Hughestown, Rob Bresnahan learned the nuts and bolts of business by getting his hands dirty. He learned how by sweeping floors, wiring junction boxes, driving trucks, and running heavy equipment with his grandfather Walt Kuharchik, an electrical contractor from Exeter, and his team of union tradesmen—proud workers who have spent decades electrifying Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Throughout his childhood, Rob’s routine went something like this: Up at 4:00 a.m. to plow snow for his neighbors, then off to school, followed by hockey practice, then off to help out his mom at the family’s bowling alley or his grandparents at their electrical shop, before finally heading home.
At the age of 19, Rob Bresnahan joined his grandfather’s business, Kuharchik Construction, as CFO making it a third-generation electrical contracting company.
After graduation, Rob took over as CEO of the company as his grandparents retired from the business. He helped open new territory for the company and secure financing to hire even more skilled tradesmen and women, ultimately growing the operation to support more than 150 families across Pennsylvania.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Rob Bresnahan founded RPB Ventures to invest back into the communities that raised him. Rehabilitating historic buildings in Downtown Pittston, breathing life back into downtown and providing innovative spaces for other local entrepreneurs to chase their dreams.
A fifth generation Northeastern Pennsylvanian, accomplished businessman, college athlete, former Chairman of the Joint Apprentice Training Committee and Trustee for the Health Wellness and Annuity for IBEW 163, and community philanthropist, Rob Bresnahan is completely dedicated to facing challenges and solving problems.
